Most Artists paint in one
medium. Larry is capable
of painting with watercolors, acrylics, or oils. He spends time in
the Midwest and Pacific Northwest, where he
teaches workshops and looks for new
subjects for gallery paintings and exhibits in art festivals.
In the
Midwest, Larry searches out landscape scenes, including old barns, dairy
farms with the cows and rural subjects. Northern lakes and a
variety of wildlife inspire more paintings. The rainbow of colors
in a flower garden may end up on a canvas. He studies Cardinals,
Nuthatches, Doves, and Chickadees at his bird feeders. He'll watch
the change of colors in the fall to capture the beauty of nature.
In the Northwest, Larry will sketch fishing
boats, harbor scenes, lighthouses and seascapes. A sunset over a
rocky beach or a sunrise on the Cascade Mountains adds to his portfolio.
He'll fly fish for Salmon and Steelhead on the fog of laden coastal
streams or for trout in high mountain lakes-more subjects for his art.
Larry may be found photographing cowboys on horses - herding, roping or
branding cattle on western ranches. He feeds quail, mule deer and
humming birds in the back yard of his Oregon studio.
Owning a painting of Larry's is like owning
part of America. Whether it's an "original painting or a limited edition" Giclẻe, you know he has experienced the subject and has captured that
moment in time.
